TRAVEL

NEAREST RAILWAY STATION: Chester (1.5 miles) (0151 709 9696 - Liverpool Enquiries)
NEAREST BUS STATION: Chester Interchange (01244 6022666). Bus 1a runs from the Exchange to the ground every half an hour, and it's worth being on one as it is a long walk from the city centre.
BY CAR:
NORTH: M56/A41/A5116 into the city centre. At the second roundabout take the third exit (in effect turning right) into St Martins Way (signposted A548 Queensferry). About 0.5 mile later you will pass a car park on your left. Take the next right after this onto the A548, Watergate and travel past the top end of Chester Racecourse into Sealand Road. Turn left at the traffic lights into Bumpers Lane, and the ground is at the bottom of this road.
NB: An alternative route is to come in on the A56. If you do this, follow A548 Queensferry signs into Watergate, then as above.
EAST: A51 into Chester. Turn left into Union Street (A483), and about one mile later at the next roundabout take the third exit into Nicholas Street. After 400yd turn left into Watergate (A548), then as north.
SOUTH: A483 to the Chester, taking the first exit at the roundabout by the castle into Nicholas Street, then as east.
WEST: A55 to the roundabout with the A483, then the first exit (signposted Handbridge and Chester) on to the A483, then as south. Tip: if you get lost, head for the Racecourse, then Sealand Industrial Estate.
PARKING: The football ground is one of the few places in Chester where you can get a parking spot without any hassle. However, no longer does the club offer free parking before 2.00pm.

OTHER INFORMATION

FANTASTIC O's MEETING POINT: The Wetherspoons from 12pm, about 1/2 walk from ground, although this operates a "no kids" policy.
Other suggestions include The Waterstones which is the nearest to the ground, The Axe and Headless Women or The Elms.
FOOD: Inside the ground, the "Meat Pot" is meat and potatoe pie. Yum yum.

TRAVEL

NEAREST RAILWAY STATION: Filton or Stapleton Road (0117 929 4255 - Bristol Enquiries) Great Western Trains (0345 484950 Customer Services). Filton is about one mile north of the ground and Stapleton Road a mile and a half to the South of the ground.
NEAREST BUS STATION: City Line/City Dart (0117 955 3231) From the City Centre, Nos 73 and 74 run along Filton Avenue, directly past the Memorial Ground. Services 71 and 72 stop in Ashley Down Road, a short walk from the ground. Services 75, 76 and 77 will stop in Gloucester Road, almost opposite Filton Avenue, and will mean a short walk to the ground.
BY CAR:
NORTH: A38 towards Bristol. This goes through the Filton area of the city. Once through Filton the road forks in two. To the right the road becomes B4468 (signposted Golden Hill) but you want the LEFT fork, still keeping on the A38. Take the third left (this is the first major road on the left) into Muller Road and the first right into Filton Avenue for the ground.
EAST: M32 to J2. Take the fourth exit from the roundabout (in effect turning right), bear right at fork into Muller Road B4469 (note the first exit from the roundabout is also the B4469 Muller Road). Do not take this exit, bear immediately right then continue for about one mile following signs to Horfield and Southmead until you see a church on your right hand side (after six sets of traffic lights), either turn left (Downend Road) and first right into Ellicott Road, or take the following left into Filton Avenue, both of which lead to the ground.
WEST: It's probably as well to go to M5 J17 and follow signs for Patchway. This will lead you on to Highwood Road at the top of which is a roundabout. Take the third exit on to the A38 then as north.
SOUTH: A37 into Bristol continuing straight (not right) on to the A36. Turn right on to the A4044 Temple Way contiunuing for approximately one mile before taking the A4032 Newfoundland Street (following the signs for M32). At the roundabout that leads on to the M32 turn left onto Muller Road, then as east.
PARKING: There is parking at the ground for 320 vehicles, but not for away fans. Street parking.

OTHER INFORMATION

FANTASTIC O's MEETING POINT: None yet - check back later. Local pub is the John Cabot (5 minutes, Gloucester Road, food)

NEAREST RAILWAY STATION: Leyton Midland Road (0171 928 5100). The club is also supporting the proposal for a new local station on the Stratford-Richmond (North London) and Victoria lines. This would be by the West Stand and it is provisionally going to be called Orient.
NEAREST TUBE STATION: Leyton (Central Line) - turn right as you leave the tube station for the walk to the ground.
NEAREST BUS STATION: London Transport - 0171 222 1234. Walthamstow.
BY CAR:
NORTH: M11 into London. At the end of the M11 turn right on to the A12 (signposted Wanstead). Continue for 1.25 miles, going straight over at the roundabout, then 0.25 mile later turn right into Church Lane. Turn left at the T-junction with Grove Green Road, bearing left after 200yd on to the one-way system (still Grove Green Road). After 0.75 mile turn right into Leyton High Road. Take the fifth left (Osbourne Road) which will take you to the stadium.
EAST: A12 into London via Gidea Park and Wanstead then as north.
WEST: M40/A40 into London. Turn left on to the A406 North Circular Road (signposted Willesden/Hendon) and continue along the North Circular via Finchley, Wood Green, Edmonton and Woodford. Just after South Woodford turn right at the roundabout on to the A113 Chigwell Road (if you cross the M11 you've gone too far). After 1.75 miles you get to a major roundabout; take the third exit on to Leytonstone Road (A11) and 0.25 mile later turn right into Church Road. Then as north. NB: The A12-M11 link road (due for completion in 1999) will make getting to and from the ground easier, but until this is complete expect some fairly major road upheavals.
SOUTH: A23 to A205 (South Circular Road) turning right on to A205 (signposted Tulse Hill). Follow signs for Woolwich then turn left on to the A207 Shooters Hill Road. After 1.5 miles turn right on to the A102(M) and continue on this road through the Blackwell Tunnel. Once through the tunnel carry on for 1.5 miles then turn right on to the A11 (signposted Leyton). A quarter of a mile after Maryland Station turn left into Chobham Road, and after a further 0.25 mile turn right into Major Road. A mile later turn left into Osbourne Road at the bottom of which is the ground.
PARKING: 100 spaces at the back of the old South Stand (£3). When the South Stand is built a new 250+ car park will be opened on Oliver Road. Street parking is available in some side streets near(ish) to the ground.

OTHER INFORMATION

MEETING POINTS: The nearest pub to the ground is the Coach & Horses on Leyton High Road, which is good, but tends to be very busy. The Oliver Twist on the other side of the ground is smaller, but less busy. Alternative: The Four Finches.
FOOD: The food inside the ground has improved recently, but is fairly pricey. The Atlanta Chip Shop on the High Road just up from Buckingham Road is recommended.
HIGHLIGHTS: The O's entrance to the field accompanied by Herb Alperts "Tijuana Taxi"!br> TANNOY ANNOUNCER: Dodgy geezer ;-)

TRAVEL

NEAREST RAILWAY STATION: High Street (01792 467777)
NEAREST BUS STATION: Quadrant (01792 580580)
BY CAR:
NORTH/EAST: M4 to J42, then A48 Peniel Green Road. At second roundabout take first exit on to A4067 Neath Road. Go straight over at next two roundabouts and follow A4067 towards the city centre and turn right on to Alexandria Road (A4118). This becomes Mansel Street, then Walter Road. Turn left into Page Street (if you miss this turn, either of the next three lefts - Nicholl Street, George Street and Henrietta Street - will bring you on to the same road). At the bottom of Page Street turn right into St Helens Road, then second left into Richardson Street. The ground is at the bottom of Richardson Street.
NB: The trick is to just follow the signs for the city centre and the Mumbles when you leave the motorway. Once in Swansea keep following the signs for the Mumbles and you will see the prison on the right. The Vetch is at the back of this - you can't miss the floodlights.
WEST: M4 to J45, take the A4067 towards the city centre, then as north.
PARKING: The car park at the ground is for permit holders only, and the one behind the East Stand belongs to the prison. You can either park on-street, or a better bet is to park at the Quadrant or by the Marina.
